Marguerite Belline

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Ms. Belline lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before moving to Georgia to attain her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. She is fluent in Spanish and, as part of her undergraduate studies, she completed a social development comparison study based in Las Higueras, Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. During her time in Mexico, she also stayed with extended family in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico, which served to broaden her love for the Mexican culture. The firm’s logo is near and dear to her heart, as it is derived from a Mexican coin given to her as a child which bears the symbol of Quetzalcoatl, a Mesoamerican deity commonly known as the giver of knowledge and empowerment. At The Belline Law Firm, we strive to uphold these disciplines as we sequimos en la lucha (we continue in the fight) for our clients against the harsh immigration consequences of criminal convictions and the application of unjust U.S. immigration policies.

In her spare time, Ms. Belline enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, three dogs and cat. She also regularly practices hot yoga to decompress from the frustration that stems from the regular practice of immigration law. She is a current member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL), the Lawyer’s Club of Atlanta, and she serves on the City of Avondale Estates Board of Appeals. She is admitted to practice before the Georgia State Courts, The Georgia Court of Appeals, The Supreme Court of Georgia, The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. regularly practices hot yoga to decompress from the frustration that stems from the regular practice of immigration law.
