Atlanta is an international city. People visit Atlanta from all over the world for travel, to work, and to live in Atlanta and its surrounding areas. Whether you or your loved one is in the metro-Atlanta area, elsewhere in the United States or abroad, our firm is here to help. We help reunite families and connect employers to employees. U.S. immigration law is complex and highly regulated. Immigration matters can seem intimidating and scary. Our firm can help you understand the immigration process, gather information that you need, and guide you through every step of the process of your immigration case.
Do you or someone you know have a case that has been denied by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services), or before the immigration court? We take pride in giving our clients an honest assessment and of their immigration case including a case strategy and the likelihood of success. Our law firm’s philosophy is expressed in our logo, “seguimos en la lucha/we continue the fight.” We are experienced in aggressively fighting for our clients when the government tries to make things difficult for our clients and their families. Our firm is not only experienced in filing immigration cases, but also in appeals and cases before the immigration court.
Marguerite Belline is a highly experienced Atlanta immigration lawyer who has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2007. Marguerite is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the Georgia State University College of Law. She is admitted to practice law before the State Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Northern and Middle U.S. District Courts of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Semi-retired attorney, Peter R. Hill, serves as “of Counsel” for the firm. Having over 28 years of experience in immigration law prior to his semi-retirement in 2018, he provides the firm with invaluable advice in complex immigration and appeals matters.
Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Ms. Belline lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before moving to Georgia to attain her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. She is fluent in Spanish and, as part of her undergraduate studies, she completed a social development comparison study based in Las Higueras, Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. During her time in Mexico, she also stayed with extended family in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico, which served to broaden her love for the Mexican culture. The firm’s logo is near and dear to her heart, as it is derived from a Mexican coin given to her as a child which bears the symbol of Quetzalcoatl, a Mesoamerican deity commonly known as the giver of knowledge and empowerment. At The Belline Law Firm, we strive to uphold these disciplines as we sequimos en la lucha (we continue in the fight) for our clients against the harsh immigration consequences of criminal convictions and the application of unjust U.S. immigration policies.
